Bookkeeping Systems For Musicians
There are many bookkeeping and accounting programs on the market. We recommend using Quickbooks
if you have substantial activity as a musician/songwriter. There is a
learning curve to the program, and it needs to be set up to track
certain things. Brad Heck Inc. can help you set up your Quickbooks
file if needed. Other programs are available such as Microsoft Money. None of these programs track everything completely such as business mileage, and perdiem while on the road.
Another option, and the one I used for years as a touring bandleader is the Dome Bookkeeping System. This system helps organize your finances without the use of a computer. (now you know how old I am)
